03

Yes of course. Please just ask and I can send you some links to complete wedding galleries.

04

Have you worked at our venue before?

The chances are very high that I have worked at your venue before but if not I see it as a huge opportunity to discover new locations and explore new places to bring compliment my style of photography. I actually really love new venues for this exact reason and arrive nice and early to hunt for magical spots.

05

What wedding packages to you offer.

I have a wide range of packages from small intimate wedding ceremonies only to full packages from morning to the last song of the night.

06

What information do you need from us before the day?

I have a comprehensive planner which I email to you which covers every piece of information and timings that I require from you. I am also happy to arrange to meet at your venue to have a chat about your plans.

07

How would you describe your photography style?

When it comes to weddings both my photography and videography style is a mixture of documentary and modern twists on the traditional, capturing your day as it unfolds from start to finish. My photography is a mix of romantic, elegant portraits (often with a touch of drama) mixed with a more relaxed, informal style which creates a beautiful set of images to reflect your day in all its glory without taking over. The way I work is ideal for couples who do not like posing and want to feel relaxed on their wedding date. I focus on the emotions, the mood, the connection between people. I embrace the natural flow, pace and energy of each wedding, creating visual stories that reflect the personality of our couples. My goal is to create vibrant and beautiful images that are as unique as the people I meet.

08

Can I read some reviews/testimonials

Yes of course, my reviews page is here.
https://www.1stclasswedding.co.uk/testimonials/

09

Will I be able to give you a list of specific shots I would like?

I do not require a shot list like bride coming down aisle. Having a long list can actually slow me down and cause me to miss natural moments. However ff you do have important items like heirlooms etc. that you think I may miss please do let me knowI particularly encourage a list of family group shots.

10

Do you offer engagement shoots

Yes of course I have options for engagement shoots. I do not include them in my packages as I prefer to keep my prices low as not all couples want them.

11

What time will you arrive at the venue.

I typically arrive at least half an hour before the contracted time so that I can explore the venue and create establishing images or film.

12

Do we need to provide you with food?

I do not insist but it is alway nice if offered. If you are going to be charged by the venue please say no but please let me know so I can make alternative arrangements.

13

Do I need to cover travel costs?

All of my packages include travel costs for within 50 miles of NN8 postcode. For areas outside this I charge a simple £1 per mile. This will be itemised on your quote.

14

Will you be the primary photographer on the day?

Yes totally 100% unless otherwise stated on your booking.

15

What will you be wearing on the day?

I typically dress in black or smart casual (shirt & chinos) so that I blend in.

16

What time will you stay until?

Wedding days rarely run on time so rather than clock watch I tend to base my packages on the events of the day rather than strict times. For instance a typical first dance is 7/7.30pm and I generally stay for approx 1/2 hour after that in my packages that state to first dance. The max stay in my package prices is to 8.30pm. Additional hours can be added if required.

17

Can we pay extra if we would like you to stay longer on the day?

Yes of course. Just let me know on the day and I can amend your order. I charge £150 per hour for additional hours.

18

Can you provide a second shooter?

Yes I have options for a second photographer. Unlike many other photographers I always use experienced wedding photographers for this not untrained beginners.

19

Can I put together a slideshow for the wedding breakfast?

This is something I do not offer as I always shoot in Raw format on the day which is a professional format and require special editing which is very time consuming and not possible on the day. Photographers who offer this will miss important parts of your day. I prefer not to miss anything.

20

Will other people be able to take photos when you are?

Yes of course. The only time I ask people not to is during the group shots as those in the group sometimes look at the wrong camera and it will effect your photos. I also recoommend that during your ceremony you ask guests to put away their phones and have an un-plugged ceremony as I am sure you would rather see your guests faces in your wedding photos than faces with phones in front of them. You can give guests access to your wedding gallery after the wedding as well so they can receive professional images taken on the day.

21

What is your backup plan if you are ill on the day?

I am a member of the guild of wedding photographers and part of a network of other local wedding photographers/videographers which I can call upon if I was to be too ill to attend.

21

Do you carry backup equipment?

You would not believe quite how much equipment travels with me to each wedding no matter how big or small. I typically have a minimum of two cameras which feature dual cards slots for instant backup during shooting, numerous lenses and flash guns plus battery powered studio equipment. Below are some images of what I bring.

Professional photography gear and drone on wooden floor.
Professional Sony cameras and photography equipment

22

Do you have insurance?

Yes of course. I have Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance.

23

How much is your deposit and when is it due.

Your deposit will be stated on your quote. Upon accepting your quote the deposit is due.Your date is not secured until this is paid. Please note deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

I am exposing your images correctly, correcting colour, enhancing images adding my style and cropping. I will remove temporary things like spots that have appeared on the day. I do not retouch images such as removing birthmarks, tattoos etc. If you require specialist retouching I would have to quote on a per image basis.

I try to get you a sneak peak of a small selection of images within one week of the wedding when possible (during peak season this may not be possible due to workload. I edit all weddings in the order they took place. The full editing process for photography can take typically 4-6 weeks off peak and 6-8 weeks peak season, wedding films take 8-12 weeks during peak season. Updates to progress are included on a special page on my website.
