Established over 700 years ago, Bassmead Manor is a historic wedding venue situated in the heart of Staploe, Cambridgeshire. Packed with British history, the Manor began as a tenant farm under the St. Neots Priory in the 13th century. Over time, it was taken over by multiple families before eventually being owned by the Squires of the Bassingbourn estate in the late 17th century, in whose honour the Manor was renamed as Bassmead. Since then, it has remained as such, standing as a proud testament to the area’s deep-rooted history.
Immaculately preserved to retain its ancient charm, the Manor boasts a number of original features including the 19th-century barn where numerous weddings are now celebrated.
